Images of my favorite Belgian’s flossy new dress shoes hit the net this morning.  You know I’m always looking for a way to make dressing up look less like dressing up and more like I’m an asshole.

Park & Bond put together a nice little history of the Rolex brand and breaks down the history of all of the significant roley models for the novice watch collector.  Read up, get familiar, dive to Marianas trench, and if you’re so inclined, pick one up in their store after you figure out what’s gonna sit well on your wrist.  

I got two of those.

Guy Laramee’s works, the most interesting of which is a series comprised of 3 dimensional landscapes carved into volumes of texts,  are stunningly original and technically impressive.  Laramee aims to challenge his viewers to consider the implications of technology, namely its impacts on various aspects of our day-to-day lives.  Click the above link for some really amazing pieces.

If this blog covered every obsession I’d held from my younger days, there’d be 5 times the posts, but sometimes I come across something that just can’t be ignored.  Loved this retrospective Batman costumes put together by Benjamin Andre Moore.  The above is only about 25% of his entire look.  Check the link for more.

Banksy has been pretty active in Liverpool the past few weeks, and I’ve thought about posting some of his stuff that’s come up (particularly the “The Lifestyle You’ve Requested is Out of Stock” piece), but it wasn’t until “Cadinal Sin” popped up that I felt compelled to log on to Tumblr and share with y’all.  Clearly a reaction to the excessive scandals of the Catholic church in recent years, you can click the title above to read the elusive artist’s take on the piece and its home at the Walker.
